I love packing a picnic basket and heading out with friends to attend summer concerts in local parks. But free summer concerts at Balboa Park might just top the list.
Most public summer concerts are free–and are a great way to become acquainted with local artists–ranging from rock to Broadway to classics (and much in between).
It would be hard to find a more beautiful setting, though, than San Diego’s Balboa Park, where from June 18 through August 29, 2013, their Twilight in the Park Summer
Concerts are held every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6:15 to 7:15 at Old Globe Theater (1549 El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101). Admission is free.
