Del Mar Foreclosure Stopped

Foreclosure Stopped!

Five years ago, we wouldn’t have dreamed that we would be selling so many San Diego foreclosures and short sales–or battling to save a Del Mar home from foreclosure on the courthouse steps–especially when that lender is Wachovia/Well Fargo.

Friday afternoon we spoke with their bank representative who informed us that there was no way, short of bankruptcy or court restraining order, that we would be able to halt the foreclosure scheduled for November 16, 2010.

Yesterday, armed with some gnarly demands, our client confronted both the auctioneer and servicing company representatives on the proverbial courthouse steps.  Scanning the onerous legal demand with iPhones, representatives from the mortgage servicer were forwarding the text to high-ups at home office. There was quiet discussion, phone calls and scowling expressions–but in the end, an agreement was reached to postpone the foreclosure on this Del Mar home.

If you are in a similar situation and need to halt a foreclosure, please email me and I may be able to forward the letter used.
