How much is membership at La Costa Resort?
This year, we can say: It depends
It seems like yesterday that La Costa spent something like $150 million renovating the resort–and now another gazillion $$$ are being spent to revamp the golf course, remodel rooms, upgrade the pools and create a five-star experience for its visitors and members. During this remodel with its temporary inconveniences, La Costa has reduced it’s membership fees for a short period of time effective immediately.
La Costa Membership reports:
“After March 1, the special pricing to join will increase every few months until renovation completion with an anticipated initiation fee increase for both Golf and Sport Memberships that will be higher than the current list price of $32,500 for golf and $8500 for Sport.”
It seems that ultimately little will be lost, and much gained.
This South Carlsbad, CA resort features two 18-hold championship golf courses, world-class tennis facility with 4 clay and 13 hard court surfaces, a state-of-the-art athletic club, a day camp for kids, fabulous pools, a renowned spa, the Chopra Center, two fine restaurants and semi-regular social events for members. All of these features have been the impetus for the membership information requests.
Here are the current rates versus former rates as of this writing:
La Costa Sports Membership: $16,500 $8500
Includes use of tennis facilities, the athletic club, pools, golf driving range, and discount pricing at all restaurants, bars, shops and golf.
Monthly dues: $245.00
Quarterly food and beverage minimum: $300.00
Reduced golf fees.
Special La Costa guest fees for golf, pools, athletic club and tennis.
La Costa Signature Golf Membership: $95,000 $32,500
Includes all of the aforementioned privileges in addition to unlimited golf and preferred tee times.
Monthly dues: $630.00
Quarterly food and beverage minimum: $495.00
Significantly reduced guest fees for golf.
